Over an 18 hole round a golfer burns roughly the same number of calories carrying a bag as pushing a cart. That translates to 216 more calories pushing a cart versus taking a caddy, and 620 more calories pushing versus taking a motorized cart. It is estimated that walking burns almost twice as many calories as riding in a cart, which is a significant physical benefit.
That said, our favorite push cart this season is the Sun Mountain Speed Cart GT model with its sleek colors and graphics, mag wheels, and improved brake system. The 17¼ lbs cart folds in seconds to 37″ x 16″ x 13″ and fits easily into a car trunk. It also folds down with the bag attached for compact storage. The ergonomic and adjustable handle positions arms and shoulders in their most natural position. Other features include an umbrella mount that secures an open umbrella and an accessories tray with a bungee scorecard holder, drink holder and mesh headcover tray.
In other words, the only drawback for the Sun Mountain Speed Cart GT is one less excuse for that double bogey on 18.
