Sheen Falls

Kenmare, Ireland

From an ancient holy well to the cascading falls of the Sheen River, the waters of Kenmare, a charming village in Southwest Ireland, have been reputed to possess special healing powers since the 17th century. Modern day travelers will heartily agree after a stay at Sheen Falls Lodge, a luxurious 300-acre country estate hotel overlooking Kenmare Bay. From the first sip of the signature Sheen Falls Sour, guests will find themselves drinking in the magic of the area. The Ring of Kerry is a sporting paradise—those looking to hit the fairways will find a number of great golfing venues, from the charming Ring of Kerry course, just minutes from the Lodge, to the magnificent Waterville Golf Links, one of the finest links courses in the world. And on property, there is salmon and trout fishing, riding, shooting and hiking.

With its 66 rooms, blazing fireplaces and paneled library—along with the new Sheen Falls Country Club, an enclave of private residences—the Lodge offers a tranquil haven after a day spent outdoors. The two restaurants offer superb regional cuisine, as well as one of the finest wine cellars in Ireland. As the sun sets over the MacGuillicuddy Reeks, and the sounds of the falls and resident piano player Jim Kiely’s music flood the senses, guests will toast to a truly memorable experience.
