The Ocean Club

Paradise Island, Bahamas

GM Robbie Leming talks about the spectacular course:

The Ocean Club is played by guests of Atlantis Paradise Island or Four Seasons Ocean Club for the most part, but everyone is welcome. It is the most picturesque oceanside golf course in the Bahamas!

Tom Weiskopf redesigned the course in 2001 and did a fantastic job, using the land and spectacular views to great advantage. Seven of the 18 holes directly touch the ocean, and golfers can marvel at the beautiful Caribbean from all of them.

The course is fantastic! It is playable for all skill levels with five sets of tees. Players can bite off as much as they want, since the course stretches out to 7159 yards from the back tees. And the year round ocean breeze makes it a challenge, since wind direction can change day to day.  Hole #4 heading out toward Athol island is one of our most spectacular views early in the round. On the back nine, nobody is disappointed with #17, a short par 4 with the ocean along the entire left side of the hole. The tropical water is stunning at all times of the day!

The Ocean Club hosted the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA from 2013-2018, with the best female golfers in the world competing. In fact, we had some very exciting tournaments and great finishes on #18 that was played as a par 5. The event certainly elevated our status as a world class venue.

The Bahamian spirit and hospitality is second to none as shown by our team at The Ocean Club. For instance, Mike Simms, Director of Instruction from Canada teaches all skill levels and prides himself on adapting to each player. He makes the game fun while keeping it simple. We have guests who return every year and share personal stories of coming here for 20 or more years. Our staff helps them celebrate some of their most important events, from birthdays to honeymoons and anniversaries!

The views are certainly amazing, but the experience here is fantastic.
